riding past Cernobbio on the southwest "leg" of Lake Como

looking back to the city of Como
where we started along the lake

quiet ride near Laglio

made it up the west shore to
Tremezzo -- looking across the lake to Bellagio where we going next

by putting our tandem bicycle on a
tour boat

arriving by water into Bellagio

the climb inland was long and steep,
but we made it up pedaling our bicycle
(which makes us doubt that the number on the sign should be taken
literally)

cooling off a little before we
take on climbing thru the steep section

up high now, looking out over the
other (southeast) "leg" of Lake Como

Madonna di Ghisallo, the patron
saint of cyclists -- chapel with a museum of bicycling nearby

statue beside the Madonna di
Ghisallo chapel

on our way back
down to Como, near Ponte Lembro looking to Lake Pusiano
