| Prominent on the east horizon are the Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn. The broad snow summit before them in between is the Pigne d'Arolla (3796m / 12450ft). |

After we ski back down, then climb over the Pas des Chevres pass, we ski all the way down to the village of Arolla -- and find this view of Mont Collon (3637m / 11930ft), towering over the groomed cross-country ski tracks and the lower Arolla Glacier. |
