springtime so it has only started to fill with melting of the
snowpack of the mountains higher above the lake

slopes to right are Mont Blanc du Tacul + Mont Maudit. Behind in center in
the sun is the upper section of the Mer de Glace glacier, and rocky peaks
along the France - Italy frontier.

confused with clouds (highest summit in Europe). Snow dome to right
is the Dome du Gouter. Rock peaks to left are the Aiguilles de
Chamonix. Points between the Aiguilles and Mont Blanc summit include
Mont Blanc du Tacul, Aiguille du Midi, Mont Maudit.
